Staying Present to My Feelings is a Start to My Transformation

Given that my life has been about living in a lot of fear, driven by fear, stopped by fear, I am now working on noticing, staying present to my feelings.  When I am aware of me being fearful, tense, I go to relaxing my body and breathing slowly and deeply. This is a practice that I am in the process of making a habit for myself, for helping me to move from the fear based state to one of relaxation.  It is work because from time to time I find myself caught up in fear and then have to consciously tell myself to relax.

I am also listening more to my music, my relaxation music.  I am listening to the music not as a musician but as one practicing relaxation.  I am now listening to my own products, listening to be more relaxed and at peace within myself.  I know that if I listen to the relaxation music repeatedly for awhile that I can use the music to relax myself when I need it, when I am in that state of fear.  I can not be in fear and relaxed at the same time.  I am now training myself to make a conscious choice to be relaxed and give up the fear.

The next part of this process is to start to work on changing my fundamental internal language, what I say and how I talk to myself.  I plan to focus on the use of positive affirmations to help me create a more healthy and happy state of existence.

More about Fear and Me Transforming My Life.

Much of my existence is that I tend to live in fear, seeing people. places and things as what is a threat to me.  I tend to interpret life as essentially about survival.  This fear and the thinking process behind it keeps me in a tense state, always looking over my back, always being on edge.  The negative impact has been not only on my emotional state but on my physical existence as well.  I have recently become aware of the fact that my inner world affects if not determines what will happen to me physically.  My physical health is dependent upon my mental and emotional health.

As I am doing the work I am starting to become present to what is happening to me.  It is a tough and difficult lesson to be learning.  Rather I am becoming present to what I am doing to myself.  One of the techniques that I am doing now is to stay acutely aware of how I am feeling.  My body, how I am feeling, gives me valuable information about what I am doing to myself.  What I am doing differently now is that when become aware of me being fearful is that I immediately relax my body.  I let my muscles start to relax and I move to my my awareness to my breathing, breathing slowly as I relax my body.  More on this practice later.

Hypertension and being present to your Breath

One way to lower your blood pressure is to become not only present to your breath, your breathing, but to practice slow and deep breathing exercise.  The intention of the practice is to make the exercise apart of your regular breathing pattern.  Such exercises can also enhance your over all well being.  To further the practice of slow and deep breathing a person can utilize therapeutic relaxation music.  The relaxation music will assist a person in creating a space of relaxation, thereby enabling them to be more effective with the practice of breathing.  The end result will be that one can lower both his or her blood pressure but also their daily stress level.

Therapeutic Relaxation Music and Hypertension

Research is showing that consistent use of both therapeutic relaxation music and breathing exercising do help to lower a person’s blood pressure. I have currently created a product that combines therapeutic relaxation music and a guided breathing exercise to help a person lower his or her blood pressure. The primary purpose is to teach a person how to breathe in a manner that will lower his or her blood pressure and then give him or her a variety of therapeutic relaxation music selections to practice the exercise.
