When Possibility happens your Self Limiting Belief may rise up.
As I go about creating possibility for myself and my life, I am filled with so many emotions. These feelings seem, at times, to coexist inside my mind and body. Happiness and elation along side fear and dread. For the most part, I am able to manage this internal dance that takes place, the movement back and forward from one emotion to the other and then back again. The end result has always been that I am able to stay in the conversation of possibility.
It seems that as I am creating possibility in somewhat small steps, the negative emotions and self limiting belief appear manageable. However, when possibility begins to appear as something truly extraordinary something else start to happen. When my creation seems as though it could move from something rather small to something very large, the emotional state changes as well. The emotional state shifts from one of being primarily positive to one that has a very negative cast to it.
Last night that happened to me. In conversation about the possibility of my creation was starting to be played big, no longer small as it had been in the past. The negative emotions began to almost instantly arise within me as soon as the conversation turned to expanding the creation. I know that what happened within me last night was my sense of deservability starting to arise and with it the internal dialogue of me not being enough and nothing ever turns out good. I was experiencing a sense of not deserve the expansion.
My only answer is to sit with the experience and resist creating a story about it. It is creating a story about the experience that will drive me further and further into the negative state. Even in the face of this negative emotional state I have to continue to pursue the conversation of possibility, of playing large. I must push through the belief that I do not deserve that which is starting to appear for me. In addition, I must continue to meditate on my positive affirmation of being the possibility of acceptance and creation.

Letting Go of the Story that Limits Us in Life is Important
When you start to become aware of the fact that it is truly our thinking and thoughts that are running our life, you eventually get it that it is from this internal process that we create stories. We create stories not just about our life in general but stories about our everyday living. When we wake up in the morning we start to create a story. Creating stories is apart of what it is to be human. The context from which these stories get create is primarily from our self image, which in this instance is from our self limiting belief. While we do our best to create possibility for ourselves and our life it is the context that tends to undermine if not destroy our creation and eventually our life.
The way we know or have insight into the nature of the story is not through an examination of our thinking but rather through our feelings. It is sometimes difficult to judge our thoughts as they mostly appear to us to be true and valid. However, our feelings are how our body experiences our thoughts and thinking. When we have negative feelings we have the opportunity to get it that the thoughts that we are having and that created the emotions or feelings that we are experiencing are also negative. From negative thoughts we experience negative emotions, such as fear, sadness, depression, anger, frustration, anxiety, etc. From this we have the opportunity to also become present to the fact that we are also creating another negative story about our life.
Staying present to how we feel allows us to monitor the very nature of the stories that we create. If we feel bad we know that we are creating a negative story that we are living into to. Our mistake is always to believe that the story is about reality, about how things are. However, it is merely a story we are creating, from our negative self image, from the self limiting belief. As we go on the journey of transforming ourselves we have to constantly practice giving up the negative story. We have to understand that it is made up by us, from our negative self image and then let it go, get it that it is not real, that it does not reflect or resemble what is going on in life. This process of letting go of the story will assist us in our transformation as it will keep us from living into the negative story which will inevitably only justify the poor self image that we currently have.

The Roller Coaster Ride of Daily Life.
Every day that I wake up is about getting back on the roller coaster ride of life. I wake up with possibility and inspiration, begin my work on my new projects and take on life. While the ride is fun and exciting in the beginning of the day, at some point the ride starts to take a dip. The dip is thinking and feeling that what I am doing will not work or succeed, that I will fail. The experience of the dip is always of a negative nature. Fear sets in and I start to question my work, that I will make it in my new endeavor. This happens everyday. I have come to know that it will happen each day, at some point in my day.
I am now working on staying present to my feelings. My feelings are a cue that the dip is taking place and that I am making up a negative story about myself, my life and what I am now doing. Once I feel the negative feelings I am practicing relaxing and focusing on the present, bringing myself into the now. I relax and ground myself. Grounding myself helps to get that nothing is wrong now. The feeling and thinking about being wrong is from my past attempting to direct and structure my present. It is my old story about myself that starts to come up, attempting to take back control of my life.
The work is to practice staying aware of my body, how it is feeling, relax when I start to experience negative emotions and ground myself in the present.
The Control of Fear in Life and My Continuing Transformation
Even given the work that I am now doing with my feelings of fear, they still have a tendency to show up in my daily life. I tend to perceive experiences, people, place and even things, as causing my fear, as them being a threat to, and at times, to my very existence. I believe that part of me even creates the experiences to cause the fear. At one level I do believe that I deserve to have fear on a daily basis. I know I make up stories to match what I believe I deserve to have happen. The stories I create about myself and life sometimes only goes to providing justification for the fear that I experience.
Part of my work is getting just this, having the awareness or insight. That is, getting the fact that I am manufacturing the emotion of fear and I am doing it through my thoughts. Simply stated, my thoughts are causing or creating my fear. This is the initial insight that I must stay present to constantly. Again, my work is to first recognize the fear and then practice relaxing my body, thereby letting the fear go. Meditation allows me to practice the process of relaxation more effectively and efficiently. However, the work does not end here.
What I now need to do is to work hard at creating a new me, through the work in positive affirmations. One of the affirmations that I am now working with is “I am safe and protected at all times.” When I am in fear I feel threatened. I feel my life is all about survival. The positive affirmations will help me to transform that way of thinking and thereby create a new set of experiences. Being safe and protected I must also get reconnected, reconnected for me to spirit or source. It is this disconnect that is the true source of the problem of fear.
Staying Present to My Feelings is a Start to My Transformation
Given that my life has been about living in a lot of fear, driven by fear, stopped by fear, I am now working on noticing, staying present to my feelings. When I am aware of me being fearful, tense, I go to relaxing my body and breathing slowly and deeply. This is a practice that I am in the process of making a habit for myself, for helping me to move from the fear based state to one of relaxation. It is work because from time to time I find myself caught up in fear and then have to consciously tell myself to relax.
I am also listening more to my music, my relaxation music. I am listening to the music not as a musician but as one practicing relaxation. I am now listening to my own products, listening to be more relaxed and at peace within myself. I know that if I listen to the relaxation music repeatedly for awhile that I can use the music to relax myself when I need it, when I am in that state of fear. I can not be in fear and relaxed at the same time. I am now training myself to make a conscious choice to be relaxed and give up the fear.
The next part of this process is to start to work on changing my fundamental internal language, what I say and how I talk to myself. I plan to focus on the use of positive affirmations to help me create a more healthy and happy state of existence.
