Forgiveness, one of the Keys to Releasing the Past.

Anger and resentments are very damaging.  Anger and resentments are damaging to everyone, to ones self and to others.  The key to resolving the anger and the resentments that get created is forgiveness.  The act and process of forgiveness allows us to let go of the past, to give up the hooks that it has with us, for keeping us stuck in the past.  While there are a variety of ways to enter the process of forgiveness, one of them is to write a letter to those that we are angry with and have resentment towards.  The letter is a beginning to the process of letting go.  The letter of forgiveness has three paragraphs to its structure.

The first paragraph is about writing about what you are angry at the person for, what has taken place, what you believe they did.  Inside this paragraph you will tell the individual that you are forgiving them for you believe they did.

The second paragraph is about sharing with the person about what you have done to them in the process of creating a resentment and asking their forgiveness towards you for you having made them wrong.

The third paragraph is about writing how you want the relationship to be, what possibility that you want to have happen now that you are practicing forgiveness.  It is here that you express the positive aspects of what you want for the relationship, how you want it to be in the present.

The truth is that the other person did not create the resentment,  you did.  You created it by not accepting them.  The other people are doing the best they can at any moment and what they do is not about you.

Negative Emotions are from our Past.

Many of us live in negativity, in having negative emotions.  We experience negative emotions, sometimes more and sometimes less throughout the day.  These negative emotions, call them fear, anger, sadness, guilt, etc., are emotions that are created by us from the past and then allowed to enter and even rule our present day state of existence.  For some of us, we live in them, unable at times, to escape the pain that we experience as a result of having them.  Eventually we start to believe that they define us, and even, that we will have them forever, that they are apart of our very existence.

To heal the negative emotional constraints of the past can be difficult work.  Sometimes we are not sure how to do it.  And sometimes, even when we do know what to do, we slip back into having them in our life.  For some there is even a pay off for continuing to have them in our daily life.  However, when we finally decide to let go of the negative emotions that cause us pain we are left with forgiveness and acceptance.

Forgiveness is merely letting go of that which happened.  Acceptance is getting that what happened happened the way that it was supposed to happen and that nothing ultimately is or was wrong.  Given this perspective, everything happens in divine order, the way that it is supposed to happen.  Our work is to not get attached to it, to what happened, to let it go, and to understand fully that is happened as it was supposed to happen.  Acceptance may very well be the answer to all of our problems.

This is a very powerful movie.  I recommended it to everyone, especially those interested in transforming their lives.
What are you hiding?
When will you face the truth?

What do you want others to see about you.  You hide that part of yourself that you do not want others to see.
We repress our “shadow.”
Life has to be in alignment with the Shadow.
The Shadow is created early.
We created shame, that something is wrong with us.

When you react to a projection you become that projection.
Be with what you resist.
Health and emotions are connected.

Using Positive Affirmations to Transform your life.
