Being Open and Willing to Receive Abundance into your Life

Creating possibility requires that you always remain open and willing to receive abundance into your life.  Many of us believe that there are limits to our creating and doing in life, to accomplishing what we say we want.  For example, many believe that there are limits to how much money we can make.  We tend to accept these limits as fact, as the way things are, as reality.  Once accepted and believed to be what is so we act accordingly.  Believing that there are limits to our ability to make money and be prosperous does not allow us to create true abundance in our life.  We simply sell out on our ability to create and have wealth in our life.  Being willing and open to receiving abundance begins to create a new space for infinite possibility to start to truly show up.

Being open and willing to receive abundance into our life also requires that we believe that we deserve to have wealth. Fundamentally, what stops us is our internal dialogue, that inner voice that continues to tell us that we are not worth it, that we are not good enough, that things never turn out good, that we do not deserve.  Part of the work of transformation is, especially in the beginning, to constantly be giving up the negative message that our mind generates, that attempts to stop us from creating possibility, that does not want us to succeed and achieve wealth and abundance.  To transform requires that we continue to declare who we are, who we think we are in life.  This work will be a roller coaster ride at first.  However, if we stick to the work, we will start to slowly transform our life.  This is where to true powerful of using positive affirmations to reinvent a new identity is so important, so necessary for our continued transformation.

The Struggle of Creating Possibility in My Life

Creating Possibility in my life will appear as a struggle.  Riding the roller coaster ride of life is filled with ups and downs.  Sometimes I feel as though I am making progress and things are going well.  At other times, even in the same day, it appears as though life is taking a dip, that things will not work out and that I will fail.  The ride is difficult to manager at times.  It is work manage this part of my life.

I know, from doing this work, that what is driving the process is the new me that is attempting to emerge and also the self limiting belief that I am not enough, that something is wrong with me.  Here is the heart of the struggle.  It is a thought, a belief about who I really think I am that is  causing the ride.  At one moment I am being my new self and at others I am being my self limiting belief.  It is not the emotion but rather the thinking behind the feelings that I have.

There is nothing to do except take the ride.  There is nothing to do except be aware of and stay present to the struggle and to the best of my ability keep standing in my new self and continue to create possibility for myself and my life.  I acknowledge my self limiting belief but continue to say to myself and be my new self, my new identity.  This struggle and ride will continue.  Part of my work is to accept it for what it is and not fight or get into a struggle with it, to merely accept that which is.

Who Are You? Who We Think We Are Is Important!

Who we are in life, how we go about defining ourselves, is something that various from one person to the next.  One person will see themselves as somebody who does something, as defined by their vocation or job.  Another person will define themselves by what they have.  What a person has could be money or a variety of material objects, cars or houses, their possessions.  What a person has could also be the relationships that are a fundamental part of their life.  When there is a loss in any of the above mentioned areas of a person’s life depression and an existential crisis may develop, leaving the person with no clear idea of who he is.  When the very definition of who the person believes that he is is taken away, it is that person’s identity that is called into question.  The end result is the feeling that he is no one, of no worth or value.

Identity, as defined above, is dependent upon something other than us, something external to us as a person.  One of the powerful aspects of transformation is that true identity is not dependent upon the content that is external from us as human beings.  Our true identity is to be found not outside us but internally, within us.  For some this journey of discovery comes to the realization that who we truly are is Spirit, God, or that higher power of your own understanding.  In this process, some say, we find that we are not separate from everything and the world but very connected, apart of, only to be fully discovered in our unity with all that is in life.

A Life designed around fixing it.

When we are born we are, as Louise Hay says, perfect, whole and complete. Nothing is wrong with us or the world.  As we start to move through life, living it, we create that something is not right, that something is wrong, about others, life and especially about ourself.  We create a life built, at least on the face of it, upon me not being good enough.  As Hay also states, the “innermost belief for everyone I have worked with is always, I’m not good enough.”

For that point from which we created the core of our identity, our life took on how to go about fixing it, fixing the “I’m not good enough.”  Our life will sometimes appear as a struggle, a struggle to fix ourselves.  We believe and feel that we should be better, that we need to improve our life, that we must make ourselves better.  To be enough I have to do things, lots of things sometimes, and I have to have things, as much as possible, the more the better.  The point is that for me to improve and be better I have to have something outside of myself to fix me.

My life is designed, at this point, around fixing my life.  I have lost the I am perfect, whole and complete attitude and perception about myself and life.  To get that back, I must begin with that which helped to create it in the first place, my language, my very word.  It is from my word, what I say, that I will create my life.

Reflections upon my Transformation.

To transform my life is not about just changing it, the outside or external parts of my life.  It is about transforming my thoughts, my thinking, and more importantly, who I think I am.  This fundamental core belief about my identity, who I am in the world, is very difficult to alter, as it has been around along time and has been supported in a variety of ways.  For the most part, and for many, it is hidden from view, hidden from the individual who life it rules.

This transformation to which I refer is difficult as my core belief, my self limiting belief, attempts to stay in control.  It does not want to change, as it is my identity, who I think I am.  We must have an identity, even if it is negative one.  The transformation that will take place is slow and will require consistent and constant effort.  The intervention that I am using is the use of positive affirmations.  Saying and writing the positive affirmations everyday will eventually transform a person’s life and ultimately who he or she thinks they are in the world and in life.
