Creating Possibility is a Moment to Moment Endeavor

Creating possibility is about keeping oneself in the mental and emotional space where positive things continue to happen or show up in your life.  Doing this type of work takes a great deal of effort in the beginning as we quickly resort back to old habits, to old ways of thinking about our self and life in general.  Unless such an endeavor is made to be in the forefront it will soon fade and eventually disappear leaving us with how things always were.  It is very easy for us to be negative and judgmental, this we have done for a long time, being judgmental of people, places and things, including our self.  Recreating or reinventing our self to be able to generate a positive, healthy space or way of being is not only new but in some cases very foreign to us.

I have a tendency to slip back into my conversation of the past, one where I am in judgment, judging myself especially and conclude that nothing positive will happen to me, that I will not succeed in life, that nothing turns out good especially what I am doing at the moment.  This conversation I am very familiar with, as it has been one that has played a major role in my life, especially at crucial points in my life.  Taking on a new way of thinking, about myself and life, takes being committed, structure and discipline to being different.

One of the ways that I know I have instantly slipped back into my conversation from the past is that I feel bad, negative, whatever you want to call it.  Staying aware or focused on my feelings is key here, a must if I am to transform myself and my life.  How am I feeling now?  Questions like this are very important to continue to ask myself and on a daily basis, even throughout the day.  Once I discover that I am in a negative feeling space I must then recreate my possibility, give up the negative conversation and create a new one, one that is about possibility and being positive in life.  It takes the willingness and effort to give up the negative and create the positive even when there is a pay off to be negative.  Sometimes creating possibility is a moment to moment endeavor.

Using Affirmations to Transform your life.

Louise Hay has written and spoken about the power of positive affirmations for years.  She believes that using positive affirmations consistently will change and transform your life.  While their transformative power is being confirmed and utilized more and more, using positive affirmations can also be difficult and even frustrating.  For some, after a period of using positive affirmation they sometimes experience resistance to their continued use.  What happens is that the positive affirmation are in conflict, sometimes direct conflict, to the thoughts and beliefs that the person has in their mind.  Many of these thoughts, ideas and beliefs have to do with what the person believes to be about themselves as a person, who they are in life.  In essence, ones identity gets calls into question, gets confronted and it is from the confrontation that ones experiences a sense of frustration and with it, creates a tendency to avoid and move after from and even stop the use of positive affirmation.  It is at this point that one has possibility of a breakthrough in their life, that is, if they are able to push through the resistance and stick with their use.  Sticking with the use of positive affirmations over an extended period of time can transform your life, can transform even who you believe yourself to be in the world.

Combining Positive Affirmations and Therapeutic Relaxation Music.

Enhanced Healing is in the process of developing two programs for combining positive affirmations and therapeutic relaxation music.  As we know, when a person listens to the therapeutic relaxation music, especially with headphones, a very relaxed audio environment is created.  When a person becomes relaxed the delivery of positive affirmations is much more effective, in fact the positive affirmations take on being like hypnotic suggestions, suggestions to help to transform the person’s sense of self and inner conversation.

The first program will be approximately 30 minutes long and the second about 10 mins long.  There will be listenings that combines therapeutic relaxation music and positive affirmations as well as others that will add the sounds of nature, stream, ocean, forest and rain to the music and affirmations.  There will also be positive affirmations mixed with only the sounds of nature.

It is suggested that one use these programs daily.  Furthermore, there will be 16 different topics, ranging from self esteem, relaxation, smoking, confidence to sleep.
